Balance Computer Time And Exercise To Avoid Gaining Weight

Do you belong to social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn?  You might use these sites to find out what your friends are talking about, to see what is trending, or to look for work.  You might even use them to publish the links to articles that you have written.  Too much time on the social networks, as well as other computer activities, can cause you to gain weight, however.

Using the computer is a sedentary activity.  You are sitting somewhere, such as at a desk, kitchen table, a couch, or even your bed.  Your fingers get some exercise

as you type, and your eyes get some exercise as you read.  The rest of you, however, gets no exercise.  Instead of spending hours and hours in front of your computer, get up.  Step away from it for thirty minutes and take a break.  Rest your eyes, and get some exercise.  During your break, there are a number of things that you can do.

One thing that you can do is go for a run or

a walk.  Physical activity will help to keep you from gaining weight.  There are also other forms of exercise that you can try, as well.

If you own a fitness ball, you can use it to do crunches.  Many people gain weight around their mid-section.  When they do, their favorite pair of jeans may no longer fit.  They may then have to put the jeans away and work off the extra pounds, which can take some time.  If that has happened to you, be patient.  After several weeks of regular workouts and a healthy diet, you should see positive results.

Then, you will be able to get back into your jeans.  You will be able to wear them in public and feel confident, rather than self-conscious.
